I am Michelle Herringer, the maker of the pieces you see on this site.

As a ceramic artist and knitter, I am drawn to the tactile experience of domestic craft, and reinterpret it through the lens of ceramics.
My work lives at that intersection of softness and strength, where the nature of fiber and clay are challenged-transforming fiber, typically fluid and soft, into something strong and enduring.
​
Alongside my exploration and experimentation with knit porcelain, I create functional ware that is intended to be a bridge between life and art - objects that carry both beauty and utility.
​
My practice is rooted in authenticity. Whether knit or thrown, each piece is an offering of my time and creative energy.
